The Emergence of a new definition for the term Boss

In every season of “Love and Hip Hop (insert a city)” we can see the appearing of a new definition of a term that we have never heard on such a reoccurring scale since 2006: “Boss Bitch” Originally, the term was used on a mainstream scale by Harlem’s own, Kelis, who was single “Bossy” topped the charts early 2000s. Her less well-known words were “I’m the first woman to scream on a street/ I shifted the beat of the drum/ that’s correct I gathered all the boys to the yard/ and that’s right, I’m the one who has been tattooed on his arm,” would everlasting change the term “boss”. Girls reclaimed the word “boss” and changed it into an endearing way to tell how a woman wins in a society that is often led and dictated by men.
