The Amazing Sea Slugs

There are many different types of sea slugs having chlorophyll inside their bodies that allow them to use it to make food from sunlight in the form of what we technically known as photosynthesis which is the same to the process of the plants. But chlorophyll was not with the slug when they were born, the need to eat a lot of veggie during their lifetime. This kind of slug can also be called sacoglossans or the “sap-sucking sea slugs” due to the fact that they suck the cell content out from the strands of algae. Costasiella kuroshimae is another species of sea slug sacoglossan be shown this phenomenon of kleptoplasty. This species has been found in the Ryukyu Islands in Japan.
